OUR SUSTAINABILITY
Stretching Beyond Limits
At Stretch Shapes, sustainability is more than a trend—it’s a core value that drives our innovation and product design. Our commitment to environmental responsibility is showcased through our use of recyclable Outdoor Stretch Fabric (OSF) and our ability to reskin products. By combining these elements, we offer cost-effective solutions that not only maximize the lifespan of our products but also minimize their environmental impact. This approach not only benefits the environment but also makes a positive impact on our clients’ pocketbooks, providing an ideal choice for professionals who prioritize both price and sustainability.
We’ve pioneered the concept of “Reskinability” in our product line, a unique approach that empowers our clients to refresh and reuse our high-quality products multiple times. By allowing our products to be reskinned instead of replaced, we’re helping to significantly reduce waste and conserve resources, making a tangible difference in the environment.
Our Reskinable Products:
Our client, Race Cascadia, exemplifies the advantages of reskinability with our flexible 2D Forms. Thanks to our products’ adaptability, they have seamlessly updated their event backdrop each year by incorporating new designs and sponsor logos.
Stretch Shapes’ Outdoor Stretch Fabric (OSF) is made from 100% recycled polyester and contains no spandex, marking a significant step toward environmental sustainability. The recycled fabric has completed rigorous UV testing to guarantee excellence in extended outdoor use.
For our clients, this means more than just a sustainable choice—it’s about embracing high-quality, durable products that align with eco-friendly values.
- Outdoor Stretch Fabric (OSF) utilizes recycled polyester, allowing us to create fabric without producing new polyester from raw materials.
- Why use recycled polyester? The polyester manufacturing process significantly harms the environment due to wasteful energy consumption and reliance on nonrenewable materials. In contrast, recycling polyester offers a much more eco-friendly solution, greatly minimizing both resource waste and energy usage, making it a more sustainable option!
- Why does not using spandex matter? Spandex, commonly found in other outdoor fabrics, is not sustainable due to its petroleum-based origin and inefficient, resource-heavy production process. Avoiding spandex is a deliberate choice to ensure our products are environmentally responsible.
THE VALUE OF SUSTAINABILITY
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our products—it’s a core aspect of how we conduct business. We empower our clients to make choices that are both beautiful and responsible. The long-term versatility of our reskinnable products allows event professionals to reduce their environmental footprint while saving money. Made from recyclable materials and designed for reuse, our products help minimize waste and conserve energy. By choosing Stretch Shapes, you’re not only enhancing aesthetics but also supporting a company dedicated to sustainable business practices and reducing environmental impact.
